Cartoon Sass

Who doesn't love a good cartoon or a good kids themed project?  At Die Cuttin' Divas we are celebrating Cartoonist Day (coming up May 5th) by asking you to show us your kid themed projects. I had to use my favorite tiny toon.

I just love her sass.Tinkerbell was created using the print and cut feature on my Cricut. Can you believe how great she looks all cut out? It makes adding these f characters to my projects so easy.
She was added on top of some fun papers and the great and wonderful saying (a favorite in our house) was added on as well.  Thanks so much for visiting and I hope you can join in our kids theme challenge this week at DCD

Tulip Trio

Happy day everyone. This week we celebrate Earth Day and at Die Cuttin' Divas this week we want to see how you plant your gardens....we are having a Garden challenge.  I made a trio of tulip card set.
I was looking at all my washi tape and thought I would play a little with it so I started creating some striped cards.
I played a little with the size of the flowers and layered them on each other with some added embossing as well.
I found a cute tulip cut to go on top of my taped backings and that was when I decided to create  more than one of this card. With the help of the cute garden stamps I had a fun little set of cards,

Thanks for joining me today - hope you a have a lovely one. I also hope you get a chance to play along with us at Die Cuttin' Divas this week.

60 Flower Suprise

Last weekend was my aunt's 60th birthday and family and friends were asked to create cards or letters with memories of her.  My daughter wanted to create a garden for her - using 60 flowers. She told me she needed a little help form the Cricut.
She wanted grass for the bottom and selected this cute cut from the Straight From the Nest cartridge. I welded 2 of them together (after having her tell me to mirror one of them - so smart!) and she put them on the bottom.
She started going through all my flower embellishments and selected carefully what she wanted.

Once she had her flowers laid out, we marked the spots and she drew on the last couple of flowers before we used brads and hot glue to put on the rest.
The final touch was a little sparkle from my Stickles collection. I think this might have been her favorite part of the project. I think my aunt was happy with the results as well.

Supplies:
- Straight From the Nest Cricut Cartridge - grass and stems cut
- Stickles of various colors
- Various flowers.

Kilimanjaro Safari

This week the Die Cuttin' Divas are thinking about Zoo Awareness Day. We are creating projects featuring animals you can find in the zoo. I thought it was the perfect time to work on our family Disney album and the wonderful safari ride at Animal Kingdom - featuring all sorts of great animals.
I have had so much fun combining Project Life with my die cuts in these pocket pages. I find the pages fast to complete even with the addition of die cuts and this style is fun as well. Start with your photos and basic cards.
Make changes to cards, cut and add in die-cuts (love these fun animals), and don't forget a little journaling to explain the moments.

WILD times on this adventure and hopefully you get a chance to share  your adventures with us at Die Cuttin' Divas - remember to ROAR and show us your projects featuring animals at the zoo.

Supplies:
- Project Life by Becky Higgins Animal set
- Bits & Pieces Cricut Cartridge - elephant and giraffe cuts
- Destinations Cricut Cartridge - safari cut

Happy 60th

Today my Aunt Diana (also a crafty gal) turns the big 6-0. Her loving daughter asked her friends and family to put together cards and memories for her.  I decided to put together a list of 60 things I think of when she comes to mind. First I made a card to put them in.
Does this look familiar to you?  I used the current sketch from Die Cuttin' Divas for this card. I switched up the row of 3 at the bottom but for the rest stayed close to this fun sketch.
On the inside I repeated the large circle for a simple note and also included the list I created of different things I think of when my aunt comes to mind.  Hopefully she has a wonderful birthday full of memories.
*You can still play along with our challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas until the end of the day tomorrow.  Hope you get a chance to play along.

Supplies:
- Sketch by Carson's Creations for Die Cuttin' Divas
- Cindy Loo Cricut Cartridge - numbers
- various buttons and floss
- DCWV The Home spun stack - patterned papers

Bots of Fun with Die Cuttin' Divas Sketch Challenge

Happy Tuesday. The first Tuesday of  April (yeah!) and that means a new sketch challenge with Die Cuttin' Divas. Here is what I created with our fun sketch.
This sketch was a fun one  I loved the idea of the large circle space for my die cut image so I kept very true to the sketch with this one.
After selecting an image I got the base of the card ready as seen above and cut out my cute robot.
Once the little guy was put together I added some glossy accents and some sparkle to his balloon. I got my main inspiration for this card from a cute stamp by Scrappy Mom Stamps -
I repeated the base on the inside of the card so it is all set for a fun message. Thanks for joining us this week at Die Cuttin' Divas.  I hope you get a chance to create using this fun sketch.

Supplies:
- Robotz Cricut Cartridge - robot
- Disney Pooh & Friends Cricut Cartridge - balloon
- Glossy Accents
- Stickles - Platinum
- Scrappy Moms Stamps - Kids Incorporated set.
