Just a Bag of Bones

Welcome to Tuesday - one day closer to the weekend (HA!) But seriously this weekend is Halloween so all the fun of that is coming as well. This week at Die Cuttin' Divas we are all about celebrating Halloween as well.
I am making these fun "bags of bones" treats for my daughter's teachers and some co-workers. I am going to dip the pretzels into white chocolate but am waiting till the end of the week to do those so I had to share the "fossil" bones.
I started with a print and cut tag to label my treats.  I used a font called Freeze! - Love it.

I created my bag of bones by combining a bag form Smiley Cards and the skull and crossbones off Mini-Monsters. It came together just right for my set of treats.
They are all glued together and ready to place onto my bag (50 or so) on Thursday night! I am tickled with the idea and glad it came together so easy!!

Have a wonderful week! Hope you can join in the fun as your finish up your Halloween projects.

Halloween Inspiration with Die Cuttin' Divas

As we get closer and closer to Trick or Treat it is easy to be inspired by all the decorations and treats being created to help celebrate. That is why this week at Die Cuttin' Divas we want you t be inspired by this fun Halloween collection of photos.
I was drawn to the spider on the white cake in the top corner.  This card is the result.
I wanted to have a large sparkly spider so I covered him with Stickles and added the silver Boo to finish it off.

Hope you can play along with us and our photo inspiration challenge this week at Die Cuttin' Divas

Save the Tatas!!

October is usually bathed in pink as we place our attention on Breast cancer awareness this month. At Bitten By the Bug 2 we created projects inspired by just that this week. We want to see your projects with pink as well as with a woman or bra on them.
I am in love with this card.  I started with the fun bra from the Forever Young cartridge (part of a bra and undies set).  I took away some of the cut and added a gem instead.
I had this heart paper scrap from another projects I used that to create my base and scalloped circles. I popped my bra up with some foam squares.
The final touch was this great stamp from Pink By Design.
I hope you can join us this week at Bitten By the Bug 2. Breast cancer Awareness is important for all.

Supplies:
- Forever Young Cricut Cartridge - bra
- Mini-Monograms Cricut Cartridge - scallop circle

Movie Time!!!

Good day to everyone.  Over the weekend (a 3 day weekend always nice!!) My family got to go see the new movie Pan! It was wonderful.  That fits right into this week's Die Cuttin' Divas Challenge - show us your movie inspired projects.
It is National Popcorn month so see what you can create inspired by the movies, popcorn and more.  I started with some fun film reel washi tape on my over-sized card base.
I love how it looks on the red cardstock. I added this fun sidewalk star logo to the card and than punched out some stars to add on.  The end look was just right and I am going to stick this on a co-worker's door to say thank you for some help they recently gave me.
Thanks for visiting today.  Hope you get to play along with us at DCD.

Supplies:
- Movie Night Cricut Collection - movie star
- Creative Memories star punch

Gobble Gobble

Oh the joys of having your Cricut back working properly!! I am so thankful and so I was able to create this card in honor of Canadian Thanksgiving and this week's Bitten By the Bug 2 Challenge- use a turkey.
I started with selecting my turkey.  I love Doodlecharms and the fun circle tags. for mine I got rid of the large circle and punched my own small ones so my ribbon would fit in.
Next I cut my letters into my patterned paper before I placed everything together for my final card.
I am tickled with the way the colors came together and the fun overall look.

Supplies:
- Doodlecharms Cricut Cartridge - turkey circle
- Phrases Cricut Cartridge - card base and inside layer
- AR Julian Font - lettering
- DCWV The Peachy Keen Stack - patterned paper

Let Them Eat Cake

A few weeks ago I needed a quick birthday gift bag for a friend.  I always have a lot of blank gift bags on hand so that I add a simple crafty touch to it. For this one I selected a fun cake.
The green bag just worked perfectly with the bright primary colors I used to cut our the cake and backing for the base.
I found this cake to be a super fun one. With the added touch of embossing I thought the whole thing came together nicely.

Sorry for my silence this week. My machine went down and I was spending time fixing that and did not get projects posted to share. Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you have a wonderful day.

Supplies:
- Life's  a Party Cricut Cartridge - cake
- The First Few Years Cricut Cartridge - oval frame pieces
- Cuttlebug embossing flder 5x7 polka dots.
