Holiday Plants with Bitten By the Bug 2

Will you be standing under the mistletoe this holiday season? Hopefully when you do it is with your sweetie. Mistletoe is my favorite holiday plant and this week at Bitten by the Bug 2 we are creating projects featuring those Christmas plants we all love - Christmas trees, poinsettias, wreaths and of course mistletoe.

I love how this cute card turned out. I found the mistletoe cut and needed a plan and so I looked for cuts by searching for "kiss". This great silhouette from the Sweethearts Cartridge was perfect for what I wanted to create.

Finding the Santa hat was as easy as another search and I just selected this one from the Teddy Bear Parade cartridge and used the wonderful contour feature to get rid of the rest of the outfit so my lady would get to kiss her Santa under the mistletoe.

The stamp was the final touch to creating this fun card. I hope you will join in our fun at Bitten By the Bug 2 this week.

Supplies:
- Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge - couple silhouette.
- Christmas Cricut cartridge - mistletoe

Thanks

Thanks is the word of the week right?  This week I am hosting the challenge at Bitten by the Bug 2 and that is what I wanted to see - the word "thanks" on your Thanksgiving theme projects.  I hope you can join us in the fun and have a wonderful Thanks filled week.
I wanted to use fall colors and a texture so I started with a patterned paper and decided to play with burlap a little but to layer it up and add that texture.
I was not sure how my layers would work but my glue worked great and it all stuck together.
To add a little more texture I used some sandpaper on the cornucopia part of my cut and added some glitter paper as well.

Give thanks this week and hopefully you will find time to join us at Bitten By the Bug 2 this week.

Supplies:
- Opposites Attract Cricut Cartridge - Thanks
- MS Seasonal Cake Art Cricut Cartridge - Give
- Celebrate With Flourish Cricut Cartridge - cornucopia

Thanksgiving Critter

The countdown is on - turkey, pumpkin pie and family all around the table grateful for another year. This week at Die Cuttin' Divas we are getting the Thanksgiving countdown started.  Show us your Thanksgiving projects.
I made a cute card to send to my nieces who I will not get to be with for Thanksgiving. I knew they would love the  fun critter.
He cut out so well and fast.  Putting him together was also a breeze and soon he was ready to go on his base.  I also added a little color to the inside of the card.
I love the center open card and it worked out well for this idea.  Now my little friend is all set to send to two of my favorite little ones!

Hope you will join us this week at Die Cuttin' Divas.

Supplies:
- Create-A-Critter 2 Cricut Cartridge - Thanksgiving Squirrel
- Center open card from The Paper Studio
- DCWV Harvesting Gatherins solids and patterned papers

Fall Leaves

Fall is in full swing and that means the colors are popping out all around and leaves are coming off trees. This week at Bitten By the Bug 2 we want to see your fall leaves projects.
When I found this tree card as I searched for leaves I knew what I wanted to do. I knew a bunch of fall colors layered on top would look just right.
I cut my card base - this is from the Zooballoo cartridge and using Design Space I created a layer for the top.  I also cut out a simple square frame to add in some more fall colors.
The final touch was the inside layer.  I wanted to add a little embossing and I had this fun leaves folder just right.

Thanks for visiting me this week.  I took last week off to get caught up in my work and home and am glad to be back with new projects.

Supplies:
- Zooballoo Cricut Cartridge - tree card and layer
- Gyspy Wandering Cricut Cartridge - square frame (brown layer)
- Cuttlebug embossing folder

Oh No, I Missed Your Birthday!!!

It is November - wow that was fast. It is the first Tuesday of the month and that means it is time for a sketch challenge with Die Cuttin' Divas!!!  This is a cute one.
I always loves the sketches Carson's Creations makes for us to play with. I recently missed someone's birthday so I used this sketch to create a belated card for them.
I started by finding some fun patterns to play with.I used to use a lot of solids but the more I play with all my patterned paper the more I enjoy it (and use what I already have in my paper collection).
The next step was to create my cute cake.  He looks so upset about missing the party! He went together fast and cute. The final touch was the googly eyes and it was all set.

Now it is off in the mail to the birthday girl. Hope you have a chance to join us this week at Die Cuttin' Divas and our sketch challenge.

Supplies:
- Smiley Cards Cricut Cartridge - cake
- Wild Card Cricut cartridge - I missed your birthday label

Pumpkin Fun

Welcome to a brand new week with Bitten by the Bug 2.  This week we are staying with the fall season, but moving towards Thanksgiving. This week we want to see your Thanksgiving pumpkin projects.
I found this cute pumpkin in the Thanksgiving Table Decor set. It comes on a cute pie box,but I liked it for my project this week so the box went to the side and I created this card instead.
I started with my base layers. A little embossing to match my polka dot paper was just the right touch.
Next I put my pumpkin together and got him all set for the top layer.  I knew something was missing so....Action wobble was the perfect touch.

It also came together great. I love the fun polka dots and the cute pumpkin wobble works out just right.  I hope you will join us at BBTB2 this week.

Supplies:
- Thanksgiving Table Decor Cricut set - pumpkin form pie box
- The First few Years Cricut Cartridge - scallop circles
- Action Wobble
- Cuttlebug embossing folder - 5x7 dots
