April Symbols with Die Cuttin' Divas

April has a bunch of symbols that represent it. The birthstone is a diamond and the flower is the daisy.  The astrological signs are Aries and Taurus.  This week the Die Cuttin' Divas want to see your projects featuring April symbols.
I love daisies - just so fun and happy right? That is how I started my card, with a fresh bunch of daisies to let someone know I am thinking of them.
I set the bouquet on a simple wood grain background before adding some special centers on my flowers.
A happy bunch of flowers for someone special I am thinking about right now. I hope you get a chance to join us this week for our fun April symbols challenge.

Supplies:
- Alphalicious Cricut Cartridge - Thinking of You
- Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge - Daisy bouquet
- Maggie Holmes collection from American Crafts - wood paper

My Kind of Rain

April Showers bring May flower they, say so this week at Bitten By the Bug 2 we want to see those projects featuring an umbrella.
I started off with this cute bird from the 3 Birds on parade cart (so many cute birds on that one).  I thought he needed a puddle to splash in so I added one for him and made it just a little shiny.
This cute stamp was expressing just what I wanted when I thought of who I could give this card to.
Hopefully you get a chance to join us this week at Bitten by the Bug 2 but hopefully it is all sunshine and happiness and not a bunch of rain.

Supplies:
- 3 Birds on Parade Cricut Cartridge - Bird with umbrella
- Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge- puddle
- Pink By Design - sentiment stamp
-  Glossy Accents on puddle and raindrops.

Motown

Happy Monday everyone. It is time for a fun new challenge with Bitten By the Bug 2. This week we have the fun task of creating music themed projects. Last week was my daughter's final choir concert of the year so I had a perfect reason to create this card.
Can you figure out the theme??  It was called A Motor Town Dream and it was such fun watching them all sing the best of Motown.
I started with the fun fashion models on the Forever Young cartridge and it all came together. I wanted them to look like a classic Motown group.
I found this music note paper in my collection (the old bins) and knew it would work for my background. The concert was such a fun night and she had a blast as always.
Hope you have a great week and get a chance to join in our music challenge.

Supplies:
- Forever Young Cricut Cartridge - 3 ladies and dresses
- Nifty 50's Cricut Cartridge - record
- Gills San Ultra Bold font - otwn
- Black Diamond Stickles

Library Day with Die Cuttin' Divas

This week at Die Cuttin' Divas we are celebrating National Library Day so we want to see projects with books on them. I can not believe I had a hard time figuring out what to do for this one..I LOVE BOOKS!!!
In the end, I came up with this simple card. I was looking at my stamps and papers and found a good grouping to work with.
I wanted it to be simple (after several ideas that I knew I would not be able to work on fully but maybe soon) so this cute book was just right. The stamp fit right into the book when I was ready for it. Hope you get to get caught up in a good book and some crafting this week for our challenge.

Supplies:
- A Child's Year Cricut Cartridge - book
- Pink by Design Speech Bubbles stamp set
- American Crafts Maggie Holmes paper - wood pattern
- DCWV Vintage Collector stack - flowered paper.

Histio Heroes 5K - Sports Theme Challenge

This week the Die Cuttin' Divas are getting active and celebrating being fit. The challenge this week is all about SPORTS! Show us your Sports themed projects and join in the fun.
We take part in the Histio Heroes 5K each year (one of my co-workers has a son with histiocytosis so we are happy to help the team.) The above card above is the title card for the Project Life spread I created for the race last fall.
I selected cards from the Project Life Prismatic Edition for the pockets and used other cards in the collection to cut my title and image from. I love being able to use these cards in this way and it is fun to mix and match the cards and patterns to create the cuts.
I hope you have a wodnerful week and maybe join in or fun sports themed challenge this week.
Supplies:
- Carton Six font
- Sports Mania Cricut Cartridge - running girls
- Project Life Prismatic Edition - cards
- Project Life Page - Design G (my favorite)

Tiny Winged Things with Bitten By the Bug 2

Fireflies, ladybugs and butterflies oh my! This week at Bitten By the Bug 2 we were asked to create projects featuring tiny winged things! I went looking for my fun bugs and found this adorable cut on the Nursery Rhymes Cricut Cartridge.
This cute pair cutout just right and I cut the circle layer to make sure you could see my pair on top of the fun flower patterned paper.
The final touch was the right sentiment. That took a little longer than I thought it would, until I thought about using a flower underneath it and selected a simple message stamp  to layer on top.

Now the card is off to a friend and I am sharing this card with you for the fun Tiny Winged Things challenge we have this week at Bitten By the Bug 2.

Supplies:
- Nursery Rhymes Cricut Cartridge - bug friends
- Pattered paper from American Crafts - best of Dear Lizzy
- Pink by Design stamp
