Design a Life You Love

Welcome to a new week with the Die Cuttin' Divas. This week our challenge is to add ribbons or bows to your project.  I decided to think small for this one.
I found this cute dress form cut and wanted to use it for a project.  The idea of adding a bow made it work out for this week's challenge.
I cut the dress with some cute patterned paper and added a little sparkle to it as well.
The sentiment just seemed to tie my card altogether. Thanks for stopping by this week and I hope you will share your thoughts on my project as well as join in our challenge this week at DCD

Supplies:
- Nifty 50's Cricut Cartridge - dress on stand
- Christmas Cricut cartridge - bow from bell

Liberty Tree Tavern

One of our favorite things about Disney are the special surprises that can come your way. On our Christmas visit we were the bell ringing family at Liberty Tree Tavern. We got to go up in the balcony and they read a little proclamation and my daughter rang the bell for the restaurant to open for the day.
I put together a simple Project Life page with the photos from that meal - including the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake (yummy). I added some coordinating cards from the Cinnamon Edition set and added a simple bell from My World to one card.
Just a fun page - and one step closer to being finished with this album (it is taking to long, but I am loving reliving the memories).

Supplies:
- Project Life Cinnamon Edition - cards
- My World Cricut Cartridge - bell

Thank Ewe - Animal Challenge with Die Cuttin' Divas

Happy Tuesday everyone. This week Die Cuttin' Divas is going to the dogs...or any animal you want to work with. This week's challenge is to use an animal on your project.
I am in the process of adding cards to my thank you collection so I selected this cute sheep to make this week.  I found this fun patterned paper and loved the colors of it so I set to work.
A simple and fun card to have on hand when needed.  Of course my sheep needed just a little something extra to make his coat look better. Hope you all get a chance to play along with our animal challenge this week at Die Cuttin' Divas.

Supplies:
- Just Because Cards Cricut Cartridge - thank ewe, sheep
- Cuttlebug embossing folder - Divine swirls

Just a Stitch in Time

My amazing mother just turned 70. I wanted a card for her that said 70 but wasn't silly or reminding her that she is "over the hill" so I went looking for something that might work.
My mom has been sewing my whole life (longer). She made me so many clothes and my sister's prom dresses.  She also is the person who makes my daughter's Halloween costumes every year no matter how specific my daughter gets about things and if no pattern exists. A sewing theme card seemed right.
After doing a print and cut frame, I found a good matching pattern to add to my 70 and added a few touches to make the card stand out. I especially like the stitching idea on the number.
We had a simple but wonderful brunch with a small group of family and friends and pushed my Mom into her 70's with lots of joy.

Supplies:
- Imagine More Cricut Cartridge - A stitch in time frame, pattern for 70
- Storybook Cricut Cartridge - 70
- Just Because Cards - just moved (minus the moved)

My Love Bug

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you. In honor of this wonderful love filled day the weekly challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas is all about those colors we often associated with Valentine's. Show us your pink and red and purple projects this week.
My daughter loves gummy worms so I got her a bag of gummy worms and attached this card to it to tie the theme all together.
I started by cutting some hearts into the backing paper to add more of the solid pink from the card base in.  Once I had all my pieces cut I added some Stickles to my ladybugs spots because well who doesn't love a little sparkle??
I hope you all have a wonderful day of love and friendship and get a chance this week to join in our challenge.

- Create A Critter Cricut Cartridge - lady bug, love bug title

A Disney Valentine

It is a day before Valentine's Day and I wanted to share this card that I made for my husband this year. We are a Disney family and I love this cute Mickey and Minnie cut.  I used it for a friends autograph book for their honeymoon and have wanted to make my hubby something with it ever since. The fun part of this card is the inside.
I made a little pocket and I wrote a few little love notes (just between me and him love notes) to place in the pocket.  I just used the part of the card that had been cut away to create my pocket. I know he will love it. Have a great start to your week.

Supplies:
- Creative Everyday Cards Cricut Cartridge- card
- png file of Mickey and Minnie
- Plantin Schoolbook - heart.

Smooth Sailing with Disney Transportation

One of our families favorite things at Disney World is taking the boats to the different parks and hotels. During our 2013 Christmas trip we stayed at Wilderness Lodge and took the boat to and from the Magic Kingdom often.
To create this page I combined papers and cards from SNAP! Studios and added my photos and the fun transportation card we got form one of the boat captains.
In order to get this title the way I wanted it I had to play around with the slice feature and cut off the sailboat.  Than I added a letter "o" shape over the original cut to smooth out the letters. I was pretty happy with the turn out.
Thanks for visiting me today.  Have a wonderful day. I hope you sail into the weekend on a high note!!

Supplies:
- Life is a Beach Cricut Cartridge- smooth sailing cut
- Stand and Salute Cricut cartridge - boat
- SNAP! Studios Say Cheese collection - papers and cards

Merci - A Sketch Card

Welcome to the first Tuesday of February. It is time for a fun new sketch with Die Cuttin' Divas. I enjoy using sketches to add cards to my collection for when I need them and you can never have enough thank you cards right?
I love this "merci" cut on the Beyond Birthday Cricut cartridge so I decided to use it and some patterned papers to create a card for our great sketch.
I added a little embossing and some gems in place of the hearts on the sketch and it was all set.  In fact I have already written a note and handed it off to a co-worker for their help with a project I was working on.
Have a wonderful week. Hope you get to play along with us this week at Die Cuttin' Divas.

Supplies:
- Beyond Birthday Cricut Cartridge - merci
- Carson Creations sketch
- Tim Holtz embossing folder - swirls

You're A Gem

As we get closer and closer to celebrating Valentine's Day I wanted to share my take on a fun pun Valentine great for giving out to friends.
I saw this on Pinterest and my daughter loved it so we decided to try it out for her dance friends. It was a simple tag to create and we added on the fun die cut gem as well. Than we taped the tags to ring pops for the dancers.
I still can not believe I cut out and glued all these diamonds. They turned out so well my daughter wanted them for school as well - luckily we found these fun ring erasers to use due to all the allergy rules at school. It was a fun treat for all.
Now maybe this year I will remember to share whatever we create for everyone as these were last year's and I forgot to share them with you!!  Have a fun time getting ready for the love fest that Valentine's Day is. Have a great weekend.

- Hannah Montana Cricut Cartridge - diamond
- Cursive 101 Cricut Cartridge - border shape flattened
