With Sprinkles on Top

Hello to you all. I hope you are having a good day so far.  Today I wanted to share a cute card I made for a sleepover birthday.  I was told the birthday girl loves doughnuts so it was an easy choice.
I started the card our using a few of the fun washi-tapes I just got that are all food themed. They are so cute I had to have them.
Once  I had the base ready I cut my doughnut and added some special sprinkles to it. My daughter was very specific about the colors I selected, She still wasn't satisfied so she asked for a birthday hat for the doughnut and it was all set.
For the inside I decided to print and cut a cute birthday message to finish it all off.  A fun card all set and I hear the doughnuts were amazing after a night of fun and very little sleep.

Supplies:
- Fast Food Cricut Cartridge - doughnut
- Sweet Treats Cricut cartridge - party hat
- Cena font for inside message.
- Stickles - Lavendar, Baby Blue & Fruit Punch
- Recollections Washi Tape set form Michael's

Inspiring

Every now and than you get an idea in your head and get lucky when you can make it look how you envisioned it in your head.  That is what happened with my card for this week's challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas.  This week we are asking your to play with polka dots & chevron patterns.  Here is the card I created.
It is one of the most simple cards I  have ever done, but I LOVE it. I saw this washi tape with the chevron and it all came into my head - even the sentiment came into mind.
Once I had planned it out I cut out my polka dots and place my washi tape onto the card.
The final step was embossing the red circle and adding the sentiment. To add even more of a final touch I decided to add a circle cut out in the inside as well.
I hope you can join in the fun with us this week at Die Cuttin' Divas and our Chevron and Polka Dot challenge!! have a great week.

Supplies:
- Washi tape in collection
- Cricut Design Studio circles
- Pink By Design Stamp sentiment

Saving Grace

I have seen many people talk about the Cast Members they meet at Disney and how they played a special role in making magic for their trips and we are lucky enough to have one such special Cast Member in our lives as well.
Grace was a concierge at Wilderness Lodge when we stayed their for the holidays.  She treated us like family and really bonded with our daughter during the trip.  She even helped us make sure that our daughter got to visit with Periwinkle, a Disney fairy, while we were on our trip.  The title for this page was an easy one for me.
I used some fun Mickey paper and did my journaling in some cropped Mickey Ears to finish it all off. We still keep in touch with Grace and will never forget how special she is.   Have a happy Friday and a great weekend.

Supplies:
- Mickey & Friends Cricut Cartridge - Mouse Ears
- Mickey Font Cricut Cartridge - Lettering

Shape Card Challenge with Die Cuttin' Divas

Good day to you all. This week the Divas at Die Cuttin' Divas are creating Shape cards to share with you and asking you to join in our challenge to create your own shape card. I created this little Russian doll card for the challenge this week.
To start my card I welded the base shape of the image with a mirror version of it so I could add a score line and make my card.
Once the card was created I just needed to add all my pieces on top and she was just about ready to be sent to a good friend of mine. Of course she needed some extra touches including embossing and some sparkle.

I hope my friend liked her and I hope you get a chance to join us in our shape card challenge at Die Cuttin' Divas. Have a wonderful week.

Supplies:
- Paisley Cricut Cartridge - Russian Doll cut
- Cotton Candy Stickles
- Cuttlebug 4x6 dots embossing folder

Happy Easter to All

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Easter this coming weekend. Our family enjoys getting dressed up and getting together on Easter each year. I think my favorite things is the egg hunt and decorating. I just finished this layout from a few years ago.
I used some images from Easter Magic and Happy Easter in the Cricut library when I had access to all the images.  I decided to change some of the colors and make everything coordinate.
Once everything was all printed I selected some Project Life cards to  go behind my images and finished everything off with a little journaling.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend with Spring like fun and joyful family times.

Supplies:
- Project Life Find & Dandy Edition cards
- Easter Magic Cricut Cartridge - bunny with basket, egg
- Happy Easter Cricut collection - Happy Easter banner, egg

Happy Easter with Die Cuttin' Divas

Spring has sprung and it is time to celebrate. The Easter Bunny is about ready to go to work and bring fun treats.  At Die Cuttin' Divas this week our challenge is Easter or Spring.
I was playing around with washi tapes in my collection and really liked how the three looked together so it became the base for this card and I matched it with a simple sentiment stamp.
Once I had the base all set I just needed to find the right bunny to place onto my card.  I love polka dots so this little guy was just right.
A simple Easter card (already mailed out to a loved one) just right for our challenge at DCD.  Hop to it and join in this week.

Supplies:
- Holiday Cakes Cricut Cartridge - bunny
- various washi-tapes
- Pink By Design stamp

Together

I love when I can take time to see my extended family and friends.  When that happens in one of my favorite places on earth - well what could be better.
Back when we traveled to Disney for Christmas we were lucky enough to add in a visit with 2 very dear people to us. I wanted to create a simple 8 1/2 x 11 page for the scrapbook to talk about the visit.
I started with some colorful paper I really liked that also happens to have a double sided feature and many coordinating colors and patterns all in the same stack. Once I had this ready I designed my page.
Using print and cut for journal boxes is one of my favorite this to do so I added some extra details of this visit on the card and selected a font I liked to finish the page off.  This was the last thing we did before leaving for home so it was extra special.

Have a wonderful day.

Supplies:
- Sophisticated Cricut Cartridge - Together cut
- Quarter Note Cricut Cartridge - font on journal box
- Designer's Calendar Cricut Cartridge - hearts
- Colorbok Beach House Signature collection stack.

Taking the PLUNGE with a sketch challenge!

Happy Tuesday all. It is the first Tuesday of the month and that means it is time for a new sketch challenge with the Divas at Die Cuttin' Divas.
I made a bright title card for a page in one of my albums.  The sketch this week is great and has so many layers that I really wanted to play with color and a roller coaster seemed right for that.
I started by finding the just right cut and this coaster was almost perfect - after I sliced off the side using the slice tool in Design Space.
Next step was to layer all my colors, but them needed something so I embossed them with fun patterns before adding them to the card.
A little print and cut and a few journal strips and the page was all set and ready to go. A fun new page for my album all set and a new sketch to play with this week at Die Cuttin' Divas.  Enjoy!!!

Supplies:
- Carousel Cricut Cartridge - roller-coaster
- Carton Six font
- The Paper Studio= polka dots embossing folder
- Cuttlebug embossing folder - Charles set
- Pinstripe embossing folder
