Dreams Photo Album

A few weeks ago my daughter celebrated the end of another dance season. She loves competing so much and I wanted to make something special for her and her dance big sister, especially because we have made a change in dance studios so they will not be together anymore. I decided to make them matching chipboard albums.
The above is the final cover image.  It features the only die cut I used for the whole album, a welded font from my computer.
This is how all the pages started - with me covering them with paper.  All the papers are from the same paper stack, Pink Paislee, Memorandum. It was really easy to measure and cut the paper to fit the chipboard and a corner rounder was the perfect fit for the rounded edges. I mixed and matched different papers.

I also went into my stash and added washi tapes, stickers and print and cut items to complete the pages. The girls both loved their albums and their friendship will continue on no matter where they are dancing.

Supplies:
- Tag chipboard album form Recollections collection Michael's
- Pink Paislee Memorandum paper stack - all papers
- Variety of stickers and ribbons form my stash.
- Smoothie Shoppe font

Sketch Guest Designer with Die Cuttin' Divas

I am so lucky this week.  I get to rejoin the wonderful team at Die Cuttin' Divas as their guest designer for the week. It is the first Tuesday (first day) of August and that means a new sketch to work and play with.
I created this birthday card for my niece who just turned 4 with this sketch. I wanted something fun and this sketch worked great for that.
I started with this colorful paper and once I had found the matching solids I went to work. I love this cute cake cut from Smiley Cards but it only had 3 candles on it so I decided to chop them off and just use the cake.
I added some sparkly to the frosting and some glossy accents to the cheeks.  My niece called to tell me she loved it - so  it is a win!!

I hope you all get a chance to join the Die Cuttin Divas in their sketch challenge this week. Make sure you head over for more inspiration and check out the great design team projects.

- Sketch by Georgina at Carson's Creations
